In these days, the technology has developed and there are lots of prizes to win. For instance, the Nobel peace prize is one of the most famous prizes in this world. It started from a Swedish chemist called Alfred Nobel that made Dinamites. This was used in war and mines. Later, Nobel became a millionare, but he didn't use much money. His last word was to award a person who did there best to help humanity. So, I would like to add a category called botany to the list.

      First, the foods are being a big problem in Earth. The people of Africa are in a food crisis, and we need to do something to save them. Then lets think about this. If a person develops a good crop and gives it to every country , I think that he did a good job developing humanity. It could be a good way to solve out the food crisis that we are having. Also, it could be a way of helping out the people of Africa. If the crop is cheap and give it to everybody that starves, no one will be starving.

    Second, we could stop global warming. Global warming is becoming a very big problem. If we don't stop it, the ozone will be destroyed and we will eventually die. Luckily, we have some answers to the problem. We need to plant many trees, and use less cars. We can solve it out by developing a new plant that absorbs more CO2 than other normal plants, and that emits more oxygen. That will maybe stop the ozone from getting destroyed.

    Finally,we can use botany to ther uses. There are some things that we can modify the plants and use it for other uses. For example, pipes that goes up and sends water is an example of our use. Also, we could use it to test it with a medicine. Human testing is illegal, so we can use the plant to test out the medicines. Even though it doesn't work nowadays, it could probably work someday.
